ABOUT
Tom Amoss Racing Stable is a thoroughbred horse racing operation run by trainer Tom Amoss. Amoss has operated the stable since 1987 and has secured over $106 Million in career earnings with over 3,700 wins including multiple Grade 1 races such as the 2019 Kentucky Oaks with Serengeti Empress. As of September 2020, Amoss' lifetime win percentage is over 25%. He has received leading trainer titles at Churchill Downs, the New Orleans Fair Grounds, Hoosier Park, Indiana Downs, Presque Isle Downs, Kentucky Downs, and Ellis Park.
MEET TOM
Tom Amoss fell in love with horse racing at an early age, and began his horse racing career in high school as a stablehand for Racing Hall of Fame Trainer Jack van Berg. After graduating from Louisiana State University, he worked as a stablehand for Frank Brothers, a veterinary assistant for Backstretch Surgery & Medicine, and as an assistant trainer to both Larry Robideaux and John Parisella. In 1987, Amoss began his own racing operation and has since earned over $106 Million in career earnings with over 3,700 wins including multiple G1 races, such as the 2019 Kentucky Oaks with Serengeti Empress.
In addition to training, Amoss has served as a racing analyst for TVG, ESPN sports television, NYRA TV and Fox Sports.
